Being able to fully communicate your needs is very important. You will need to include enough information to allow others evaluate the effort, and therefore the pricing. Each potential candidate then has the same information, so your assessment of them becomes more of an apples to apples comparison. The goals in your RFP may change and evolve as you begin to see all of the options available to you. The RFP is a starting point toward the selection of a Design firm or agency.
